Black Lives Matter Caravan 2021
Join us at 10am to create signs, paint cars, blow bubbles, sing and dance to celebrate Black lives, Black leaders and making Black history visible. We'll start driving at 11 down highway 1 and through Half Moon Bay ending at the High School to wrap up.

· Introduce Newest Member Gabby: Gabby Bateman grew up in Los Angeles and came to the Bay Area to attend UCSF Dental School. After finishing Dental school she decided with her husband to make the bay area her home. Her husband was born and raised in Half Moon Bay, and they decided to move to HMB and start their family. Gabby works as a dentist at a local nonprofit, Sonrisas. She has two daughters, Camilla and Victoria. She is excited to be apart of CFTA and meet other families and people interested in making HMB a more diverse and progressive place to live for all.

The Past, Present, and Future of the Ohlone People: The first peoples of HMB
To celebrate Indigenous People’s Day, CFTA is excited to be in a virtual conversation with two Ohlone leaders, Kanyon Sayers- Roods and Dr. Jonathan Cordero. In conversation with Evelyn Arce Erickson, they will share some of the history and present day events Ohlone Peoples are facing, as well as their vision for the future. This is a rare opportunity to discuss the true history of the first peoples of HMB with their descendants.
